On the subject of rectifying one's failings in bodhicitta (see under the term ltung ba), 'Jigs med gling pa states that the beginner should rely upon these four powers: rten gyi stobs [564.6], rnam par sun 'byin pa'i stobs [565.2], gnyen po kun tu spyod pa'i stobs [565.2] and sor chud pa'i stobs [566.1].
In this passage, 'Jigs med gling pa provides an account of the four opponent forces that draws heavily on Klong chen pa's Shing rta chen po {116031} (see the entry from Shing rta chen po p. 563.6).
