ཾMirror divination. A type of divination that results in an image appearing spontaneously on the surface of a mirror, or on some other reflective surface such as a lake. In the Kālacakra tradition, the mirror divination is used as a metaphor for how visionary phenomena appear to a meditator who is practicing “the six limbed yoga” (sbyor ba yan lag drug); that is, just as in the mirror divination the images appear spontaneously and without being imputed by the mind, so the visionary appearances of the six yogas are also spontaneously arising and uncreated.
